Macquarie Pass.

Also known as Mac Pass, this 8km section of Highway runs through the Macquarie Pass National Park.

The tight turns and beautiful scenery are well know to Sydney riders.

The narrow, shared lanes can be daunting in sections as you may encounter oncoming traffic.

Make sure you head through to Robertson Pie Shop to for a bite to eat.

To do this loop in a day trip from AMR is possible and will take several hours, covering several hundred kilometres.

Unfortunately there is quite a bit of highway between the Royal National park/Sydney and the entry to Mac Pass.

You may also consider coming home via Jamberoo Mountain Rd.
